Our Mission
The Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia's goal is to strengthen and preserve the well-being of individuals, couples, and families through easy, affordable, access to professional counseling services.

Who We Are

The Family Counseling Center is a private, nonprofit agency established in 1957 by the Junior League of Macon and the United Way of Central Georgia to help people in times of stress. The center has master's level, licensed therapists, trained in marriage and family therapy, social work, and psychology. Their credentials, licensing, and training assure the highest quality of service. The clinical staff adheres to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

What We Do

What Happens When You Call?
A staff member will discuss your specific concerns and help you determine your options. Regardless of the type of problem you are having, the Family Counseling Center will treat you with respect and understanding. Although medical and emergency services are not available, referrals will be made to other providers as needed.

How To Find Us
The Family Counseling Center has offices in the Peyton Anderson Community Services Building at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Mulberry Street. (277 MLK Jr. Blvd., Suite 203) in downtown Macon. In Houston County, we are located at 106-B Olympia Drive in Warner Robins. To make an appointment, call 478-745-2811 in Macon or 478-918-0663 in Warner Robins, or fill out the initial intake form online.

How We Are Funded
The Family Counseling Center receives funding through the United Way of Central Georgia; grants from organizations such as the State of Georgia's Criminal Justice Coordinating Council; the Community Development Block Grant program through Macon-Bibb County, Georgia; local foundations; and individual donations, as well as program fees.

Tax-deductible donations may be made directly to the Family Counseling Center of Central Georgia to support program activities or can be made directly to the Family Counseling Center Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia.
