
OUR MISSION
Family Counseling
Center of Central Georgia strives to preserve and strengthen the well-being
of individuals and families within the community in order to promote a
healthier society through easy access to professional services.
WHO WE ARE:
Family Counseling Center is a private, non-profit agency
established in 1957 by the Junior League of Macon and the United Way of
Central Georgia to help strengthen individuals and families in times of
stress. The center has Masters level, licensed therapists,
trained in marriage and family therapy, social work and psychology. Their
credentials (LMFT, LMSW & LPC) and training assure the highest quality of service.
The clinical staff adheres to the code of ethics of the National Association
of Social Workers and the American Association of Marriage and Family
Therapists.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CALL:
A staff member will discuss your specific concerns and
help you determine your options. Regardless of the type of problem you
may have, the Family Counseling Center is committed to offering you respect
and understanding. Although medical and emergency services are not available,
referrals will be made to other resources as needed.
HOW TO FIND US:
Family Counseling
Center has offices in the Peyton Anderson Community Service Building at
the corner of MLK Jr. Blvd. & Mulberry St. (277 MLK Jr. Blvd. Suite
203) in downtown Macon, across from the GA Music Hall of Fame. In Houston
County, we are located at 106-B Olympia Drive in Warner Robins. You may
also see a therapist at the Family Investment Center, located in Davis
Homes. To make an appointment, call (478) 745-2811 in Macon or (478) 918-0663
in Warner Robins or fill out an initial intake form
online.
HOW WE ARE FUNDED:
Family Counseling Center receives funding through the
United Way of Central Georgia; grants from organizations such as the Criminal
Justice Coordinating Council, Children and Youth Coordinating Council and Macon Community Development Block Grant Program;
local foundations and individual donations, as well as program fees. Tax
deductible donations may be made to FCC to support program activities
or made directly to the Family Counseling Center Endowment Fund in the
Community Foundation of Central Georgia.
